central market brings in rick's picks
We are excited to announce that Central Market of Texas is adding Rick’s Picks to its dazzling array of offerings. Central Market has eight locations in Texas, and each one is an epicurean delight with an interesting feature… they have employees called Foodies who work the floors and help customers find cool stuff. We’re kicking things off with them with a featured display as part of their annual Thrill of the Grill two-week extravaganza (although Rex of Central Market reminds me that in Texas, it is always grilling season). We’ll be demoing the stores in San Antonio, Austin and Houston this weekend April 24-25… and next weekend, April 30-May 2, I am coming down to Dallas to demo the four Dallas locations and spread the pickle gospel! The demos will all run from 11 AM to 7 PM. For Store locations and more, visit centralmarket.com. Tell all your friends in the Lone Star State to come on down and get their pickle on!
Our schedule:
Austin (both stores): Saturday, April 24
San Antonio: Saturday, April 24
Houston: Sunday, April 25th
Plano: Friday, April 30th
Dallas: Saturday, May 1st
Fort Worth: Sunday, May 2nd
Southlake: Sunday, May 2nd
towards a more sustainable and conscionable food system
Tonight we’re joining our friends at Whole Foods and some of our favorite fellow local vendors for a screening of the film FRESH, to be followed by a panel discussion on the future of food and how we can contribute to a more sustainable and conscionable food system.
The event is tonight at 6:30 at Tribeca Cinemas, 54 Varick Street. Here’s the menu for the reception to follow (in case you can’t tell our contribution is Phat Beets). See you there!
